Sympathy Card
My daughter called the other day asking me to make a simple sympathy card, everything she found was too elaborate or just said the wrong thing. I used the Mucha Flower from A Day for Daisies and 2 coordinating papers, inked with walnut distress ink. I was pleased with it, and have made a couple more for myself. I even printed a sentiment of my own inside in a matching color. I learn so much from reading everyone's blogs. Thanks for the inspiration and tutorials. They really are a big help.
School has begun, hence my absence here. (Oh, and had to get a new computer, what a pain!) We are already 3 weeks into the school year, a couple of my students even commented on how fast the time is going already. Hope they still feel that way in February! I had been expecting an easier load this year, and so far that's held true. I'm plunged into an early round of special ed. meetings (I do all paperwork, make all contacts, and conduct all meetings) so I haven't had much time for myself, but I don't plan to give up my card making. I do love it!
Thanks for visiting me!

Your card is beautiful! I just love the simple little flower on the front. Thanks for stopping by to leave me a nice comment on my card. Hugs, Tami
ReplyDeleteThis card is gorgeous and absolutely perfect for its purpose.
ReplyDeleteI saw your comment over at Everyday Cricut and wanted to respond. I couldn't see your e-mail address so I thought I would leave you a comment here. On the tri-fold card I posted today everything IS double sided so that the scene continues (in reverse) as you open it up. I hope that makes sense. I appreciate your comments.

Oh the other thing I wanted to mention was that I don't envy you for being a teacher, but it takes a special person to have the patience and dedication to do what you do every day. Thank you.
